While traditional mooncakes are still very delicious, people have come to think that eating the same flavours of mooncakes year in and year out extremely boring. Traditional mooncakes manufacturers and suppliers are cracking their head to think of new flavour to be introduced to the market and hopefully to turn the table around.
Recent years there has been a rising demand of jelly mooncake in the market and we realized that people are loving it. So here are the 2 easy steps to make delicious jelly mooncake at home. In this recipe we are making dragon fruit jelly mooncake.
Ingredients
Filling:
- Agar-agar mooncake filling mix ( 1 pack )
- water ( 200ml )
- coconut milk ( 200ml )
- red bean paste ( 250g )
Mooncake skin:
- Agar-agar mooncake skin mix ( 1 pack )
- dragon fruit juice ( 200ml )
- water ( 800ml )
- fresh milk ( 100ml )
Steps
- Making the filling. Cook all the ingredients filling until boil. Then pour into the mould. Leave cool. The filling is done.
- Making the skin. Cook all the ingredients above in the “mooncake skin” section to boil. Then pour 1/3 of the mixture into the mould and leave it half set. Put it the fillings and fill up the remaining portion of the mixture into the mould. Leave cool.
Put into the refrigerator to leave it completely set. Enjoy!
